Liam Gallagher breaks silence on Oasis rehearsals as he sweetly gushes over Noel
Liam Gallagher has described Oasis' reunion tour rehearsals as 'spiritual'.
The frontman, 52, spent this week playing in the same room as older brother Noel since the sessions began - the first time they have played together in 16 years. But unlike their younger days, when the Champagne Supernova rockers were known to party with Cigarettes & Alcohol, Liam revealed they are staying sober.
Asked how rehearsals are going and what the mood is like, Liam said: 'Yesterday was spiritual. Very professional we're just ripping it up to ras. Were professionals no time for drinking.'
Noel, who has been seen travelling to rehearsals on the tube, previously joined guitarists Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs and Gem Archer and bassist Andy Bell for warm-up rehearsals without Liam. Liam, who arrived at the rehearsals by van and was seen with packets of Lockets and cough syrup, was also asked about Noel, 58, and how it feels to be back alongside him after so many years.
The siblings famously fell out when the band split after they had a backstage fight at a festival in Paris in August 2009. But it appears Liam is determined to not look back in anger as they prepare for the start of the new tour in Cardiff on July 4, before moving on to Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin before further dates around the world.
In an impromptu Q&A session on X, Liam added: 'Noel has been devine. Can't stop staring at him he might have to get a restraining order out on me can't help it.'

After more than 15 years apart, brothers Liam and Noel will reunite under the iconic Oasis banner for a globe‑spanning tour - marking their first live performances since the 2009 split.
Kickstarting in July and running through November 2025, the tour features 41 stadium dates across five continents, selling out almost instantly following a frenzy of ticket demand.
The tour kicks off on July 4th and 5th in Cardiff's Principality Stadium, before heading to Manchester's Heaton Park for five massive nights on July 11th, 12th, 16th, 19th, and 20th.
London's Wembley Stadium will host them on July 25th, 26th, and 30th, then again on August 2nd and 3rd, with two additional autumn shows added for September 27th and 28th due to overwhelming demand. Edinburgh joins the celebration with three dates at Murrayfield Stadium on August 8th, 9th, and 12th, while fans in Dublin will welcome the band back to Croke Park in mid-August, with dates still being finalised.
