Dr Katrina Warren looks incredibly youthful 20 years after starring on Harry's Practice - and you will never believe her age!

Daily Mail16-05-2025

It's been 20 years since Harry's Practice finished it's run on Seven, and since then, presenter Dr Katrina Warren has barely aged a day.
The beloved pet expert stepped out at a Sydney park on Thursday with her trusty border collie Chilli looking as fresh-faced and youthful as she did in the early nineties.
The petite brunette, 57, beamed as she joined a small group of volunteers and pet owners to speak about the mental health benefits of dog-driven exercise.
Dr Katrina was a regular feature on Australian TV screens from 1997 to 2003 and her familiar face looks remarkably unchanged.
She suited up for her day of advocacy in a pair of blue skinny jeans and an oversized 'Mind's Best Friend' T-Shirt.
She flaunted her glowing skin and broad smile as she extolled the virtues of regular exercise for a healthy life.
In research spearheaded by footwear company Asics, Katrina said that dogs are the ultimate movement motivators, with 65 per cent of owners saying their dog is their primary reason to exercise.
Dog owners, Katrina said, are 31 per cent more likely to meet recommended physical activity guidelines and report better mental health as a result of daily movement.
'It's hard to believe it's been nearly 40 years since I first started out at vet school,' Katrina gushed in a post last fortnight, as she shared a photo of her university graduation.
'YIKES! Here's a throwback to me as a fourth-year vet student — complete with very enthusiastic eyebrows!' she captioned the post.
'I'm still so proud to be part of a profession filled with people who lead with compassion, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to the wellbeing of animals. It's not always an easy job.'
Journalist Jessica Rowe paid tribute to Katrina's many years of service to the Australian public in the comments.
'Thank YOU for all you do to keep us well informed, educated & entertained about how to best care for our furry families!' she wrote.
With her border collie Toby by her side Katrina became a household Australian name in the '90s and early noughties, advocating responsible pet ownership and championing animal welfare causes.
The famously happy border collie, who died in 2010, was the 57-year-old's co-star on Seven's long-running pet show Harry's Practice.
'He was part of my identity,' an emotional Katrina told Jessica on The Jess Rowe Big Talk Show in 2024.
Admitting she still struggles with the loss of her loyal companion, she told listeners: 'You just need to go through the grief.'
The vet added that it's important to have people around who can offer support and sympathise.
'Unfortunately we have this world of people who say things like "It's just a cat it's replaceable get another one".'
'Those sorts of comments make people just hide behind a door.'
'All you can do to manage it is to keep yourself busy. One day the tears turn into smiles when you think of the memories.'
Elsewhere in the chat, Jessica asked Katrina why she thought losing an animal is especially difficult.
'Grief is grief,' Katrina said, adding that many people have confessed to her that losing a pet was harder than losing a family member.
'They give you unconditional love, they don't judge you and you can't say about human relationships there's always.
'Your pets just warm your heart and so we mourn their loss because we are so used to having that joy...'
Katrina rose to fame on Channel 10 children's program Totally Wild in 1994.
She later hosted Beverly Hills Vet in 2003 and Housecat Housecall in 2008 on Animal Planet in the U.S.
Since her time on the hit lifestyle show, Katrina has built up a career as a pet influencer and educator and boasts 41,000 followers on Instagram.

Brad Pitt details first AA meetings after Angelina Jolie divorce... and makes cryptic Jennifer Aniston remark

Brad Pitt has opened up about attending Alcoholic Anonymous (AA) in the aftermath of his messy split from Angelina Jolie. On Monday's episode of Armchair Expert, the F1 star, 61, admitted that he 'needed rebooting' following the disastrous end of his second marriage. 'I was really open to I was trying anything and everyone anything anyone threw at me,' he recalled to host, Dax Shepard, after finding himself 'pretty much on [his] knees' with the revelation that he needed to 'wake the f**k up in some areas.' He continued: 'It was a difficult time. I needed rebooting.' The comment could be viewed as a very cryptic reference to his ex Jennifer Aniston, who once famously used a computer chip as an analogy to discuss Pitt's temperament. Aniston - who was married to Pitt from 2000 to 2005- once said that he had a 'sensitivity chip missing' when trying to describe how he handled their breakup. While attending AA, Pitt said he felt nervous about speaking and was inspired by 'everyone [being] so open' about their experiences. 'It gives you permission to go, "OK, I'm gonna step out on this edge and see what happens,"' he explained. 'And then I really grew to love it.' Pitt went on to praise Shepard, who was sober for 16 years before relapsing in 2020, for always being 'so f**king honest.' The father-of-six, noted that it 'meant a lot' to him to hear Shepard share his journey publicly. 'Dax was usually near the end because he's been there awhile,' Pitt said, before playfully comparing Shepard, 50, to 'an elder statesman' that fuses 'humor' into his wisdom. 'I just thought it was incredible, men sharing their experiences with their foibles, their missteps, their wants, their aches and a lot of humor with it,' Pitt said. As someone born in Oklahoma and raised in Missouri, the actor explained he was raised around men that always insisted 'everything is great' and didn't complain. Previously Pitt revealed that his decision to join AA came after taking 'things as far as' before revoking his 'drinking privileges.' During an interview with the New York Times in 2019, he said he found 'great value' in Alcoholics Anonymous. 'It was this safe space where there was little judgment, and therefore little judgment of yourself,' he said, at the time. 'It was actually really freeing just to expose the ugly sides of yourself.' The Hollywood hunk also admitted that alcohol was not the only vice with which he'd struggled in the past. Pitt also revealed he'd turned to marijuana in the wake of his meteoric Hollywood success, conceding that 'in the '90s, all that attention really threw me.' 'I really became a bit of a hermit and just bonged myself into oblivion.' In 2020, Pitt also credited Bradley Cooper with helping him to overcome his battles with addiction. While accepting Best Supporting Actor from his pal at the National Board Of Review gala, the performer revealed Cooper helped him 'get sober' and 'every day has been happier ever since.' Pitt decided to pursue sobriety after his split from Jolie. Brad and Angelina's ugly divorce battle finally ended in December 2024 after she filed in 2016. The dispute has seen the exes attack each other in legal filings ever since Brad sued Angelina in 2022 for selling her stake in their Chateau Miraval estate, which produces an award-winning sparkling rosé. The exes, who share six children — Maddox, 23, Pax, 21, Zahara, 20, Shiloh, 19, Knox, 16, and Vivienne, also 16 , married in 2014 after meeting on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005). He is currently dating jewelry executive Ines de Ramon, who resides with him in Los Angeles.

Ioan Gruffudd's wife shares reality of pregnancy after Alice Evans shared reaction to their news

wife, Bianca Wallace, has shared a brutally honest account of her difficult pregnancy journey. The Australian actress, 32, who is expecting her first child with the star, 51, took to Instagram to share a raw photo diary and series of emotional videos documenting what she described as 'some kind of torture' during her first trimester. 'Life lately… Some real moments, because no one needs to be as shocked as I was to find out how f***ed pregnancy actually is,' she wrote, alongside 13 images and videos detailing weeks of intense morning sickness and physical pain. In one clip, Bianca is seen lying in bed with a heat pack, grimacing in pain as she describes how constant vomiting left her bedridden and unable to sleep. She revealed she vomited so violently she threw her back out for four days, and shared a snap of herself looking pale and drained after throwing up 67 times in one day. In another photo, she is seen clutching a bowl of cornflakes - one of the only foods she could stomach for weeks. She reassured others who may be experiencing similarly rough pregnancies, writing: 'You're not crazy! More often than not it isn't just nausea and "morning sickness". It IS s*** and rough and f***ed and it IS ok to be honest about it!' Her pregnancy update comes just over a week after Bianca and Ioan announced they were expecting their first child together, posting a sweet black-and-white image of the actor kissing his wife's baby bump. 'Baby Gruffudd poppin' out to say hello!' they captioned the snap, which was met with an outpouring of love from fans and celebrity friends. But while the couple's news delighted many, it appeared to trigger a scathing response from Ioan's ex-wife Alice Evans, 55, who shared her own cryptic post following the announcement. Without naming the couple, Alice wrote: 'Some people like to go low. I can't. Not because I'm better. But because I have kids. This s*** is some kind of torture.' Update: 'Life lately… Some real moments, because no one needs to be as shocked as I was to find out how f**ked pregnancy actually is,' she wrote, alongside 13 images and videos detailing weeks of intense sickness and physical pain The post sparked speculation among fans that it was a veiled dig at her ex and his new wife, reigniting tensions from the pair's bitter public split. Ioan and Alice finalised their divorce in July 2023 but remain locked in a fiery legal battle over spousal and child support for their two daughters, Ella, 15, and Elsie, 11. Court documents have detailed years of alleged abuse, online harassment, and restraining orders. Bianca was previously granted a three-year domestic violence restraining order against Alice, with Ioan claiming his ex had embarked on a 'smear campaign' against them.

Emmerdale's Bear Wolf in dramatic new storyline as Lisa Riley reveals shock developments for the Dingles

EMMERDALE'S Bear Wolf will find himself in a dramatic new storyline, Lisa Riley has revealed. In recent episodes of the hit ITV show, Lisa's character Mandy Dingle and partner Paddy, played by Dominic Brunt, have been voicing their concerns about Paddy's dad, Bear. 4 4 4 The couple have tried to help him - from arranging a doctor's appointment to giving him an old motorbike to restore, but he simply puts his strange behaviour down to 'being a pain in the bum.' Now, after an incident at the garage that saw Bear getting very frustrated with the bike, and an altercation with Kammy Hadiq, Emmerdale fans have begun to question whether Bear has a secret health condition. Dropping some hints about the storyline, Lisa Riley, 48, spoke to The Sun and said: 'Whatever's going on with Bear, it'll bring Mandy and Paddy closer together. 'Next week, people are going to see Paddy and Mandy getting their new home and it's all very exciting. And as new homeowners, they want to take advantage of it because they love each other and can't keep their hands off each other. 'It's their passion pad. They like to call it Paddy Towers. But Paddy is also very aware about mental health issues, so what does that mean for Bear moving forward? 'Is he a grumpy old man? Is he suffering from mental health issues? Will he have something severe as we go on? Of course, it's going to go off.' The talented actress, who will celebrate a huge 30 years on the show next month, also spoke about the Dingles and serial killer John Sugden being part of the family. 'Mandy loves John. She's very flirty with him, and she thinks he's great for Aaron. Lisa Riley opens up on the grief of losing her mum 'She thinks that he'll look after Aaron, yeah, and obviously with the viewers, it's so hilarious, honestly. 'When I'm in Waitrose, people go, 'Mandy, Mandy, be careful of that John' and I'm going, 'yeah, OK,' but how do you say it in a non-patronising way? 'I know as a viewer, but obviously Mandy loves him and doesn't see anything wrong with him and has no idea. And if Mandy does find out in so many months to come, oh God help him. 'I mean, her brick would come out - she has a brick in her bag, and you'd see the crazy side of Mandy if she had any inkling that John had something to do with Nate's death.' Lisa added: 'She's the Queen of the family, and you don't cross the Queen.' Away from her life portraying Mandy Dingle on hit soap Emmerdale, Lisa has been supporting Sue Ryder with their latest campaign. Lisa was incredibly close to her mum Cath, but sadly lost her to cancer in 2012. Now, Lisa has joined forces with their Back for a Moment campaign, to help bereaved people get the support they need. And in doing so, the star chatted to The Sun about her mum, and how she sometimes finds herself hiding behind her character Mandy, to disguise the pain of losing her. But Lisa says it's her Emmerdale cast mates who get her through those tougher times. She said: 'On the tough days, I do think Mandy Dingle has been a great person to hide behind. I do hide behind the bravado. 'Because there are some days where you want to sort of roll over on your pillow and cry. But I am so grateful to do what I love, and I am very lucky. 'I am guilty of pressing the bravado button, but I have my wonderful co-stars around me, including Dom - who plays Paddy - and the incredible Bradley Johnson, who plays my son. 'We're all so in tune with each other, they've got my back and I've got theirs, and honestly we're so lucky we do, because sometimes I watch my scenes back and think 'if only people knew what was really going on in my head.'' But the star said she recognises that, for some people, it's hard to find others to turn to when losing someone, especially as 88% of bereaved people feel alone in their grief. Lisa continued: 'There are thousands of people who need to know that Sue Ryder is there, and that they don't have to be by themselves. 'My dad was a bit in denial when my mum died, and that is what the campaign is there for.' Sue Ryder offers a range of free grief support, including an online bereavement community and in-person Grief Kind Spaces. Search 'Grief Deserves Better' or visit this website 4
