Italian Journalists Denounce Zionist Enemy's Crimes Against Journalists in Gaza

Rome - Saba: Dozens of Italian journalists and media professionals participated in a vigil on Sunday evening in Rome's Porta San Giovanni Square, condemning the crimes committed by the Zionist enemy against Palestinian journalists. The protesters carried pictures of the martyred journalists who were killed during the Israeli genocide and demanded respect for international law, concrete initiatives to halt the Israeli genocide in Gaza, an immediate withdrawal from the Strip, and the entry of UN and international aid into Gaza, according to the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA). Participants issued a statement during the event, affirming that "what is happening in Gaza before our eyes is a genocide, in which Israel has killed 226 journalists—an unprecedented death toll in history, surpassing even major conflicts of the 20th century." They added, "Thanks to these colleagues, the world has learned what has happened and continues to happen in Gaza, especially since Israel bars international media from entering the Strip and commits deadly attacks against Palestinian journalists and their families." The protesters rejected the double standards in media coverage when it comes to Israel's victims and called on Italian and European media to freely use the term "genocide" to describe the events in Gaza. They urged Italian news agencies and official institutions to take a firm stance, stating that silence is no longer acceptable, and demanded greater mobilization among Italian journalists. Additionally, they called on "Italy and the European Union—bound by specific international obligations—to take action to prevent and halt the ongoing genocide." They also demanded that "Israel respect press freedom and immediately allow international media into Gaza and the occupied territories, as denying this constitutes an arbitrary violation of the right to information and fundamental democratic principles." Al-Tasheeh Organization condemns aggression on Iran, calls It serious escalation threatening regional & international security

Sana'a – Saba: The Popular Nasserist Al-Tasheeh Organization strongly condemned the treacherous American aggression targeting the Islamic Republic of Iran and its vital facilities, particularly its peaceful nuclear sites. In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the organization described this aggression as a blatant violation of the sovereignty of an independent state and a flagrant breach of international laws, norms, and conventions. It considered this act a dangerous escalation that threatens regional , international security and peace, reflecting the increasingly aggressive tendencies of the American administration, which continues its overt and unwavering support for the Zionist entity in its open aggression against the peoples of the Arab and Islamic nations. The statement pointed out that targeting Iran at this time is a punitive response to its supportive stance on the Palestinian cause and liberation movements resisting Zionist occupation. It unequivocally exposes the American-Zionist scheme, which does not target a specific state but rather seeks to undermine the will, dignity, sovereignty, and independence of the entire nation. The Popular Nasserist Al-Tasheeh Organization expressed full solidarity with the Islamic Republic of Iran, affirming that such attacks will not weaken Iran's resilience nor alter its steadfast positions on the nation's issues, foremost among them the Palestinian cause. It called on the peoples of the Arab and Islamic nations to move beyond silence and complacency, urging a unified stance that rises to the challenges of this critical phase. The organization emphasized the need to engage in a national and resistance-oriented project to confront American and Zionist arrogance, preventing them from dominating the nation's peoples and sanctities. Al-Rahda Customs Center foils attempt to smuggle foreign garlic

Taiz - Saba: The Anti-Smuggling Unit in Taiz province, in cooperation with Al-Rahda Customs Center, successfully thwarted an attempt to smuggle a shipment of foreign garlic concealed in a "Shas" pickup truck. Muhammad Al-Jabri, Director of Al-Rahda Customs Center, told the Yemeni News Agency (SABA) that the seized garlic amounted to 230 bags, with each bag weighing approximately 10 kilograms. He emphasized that smuggling operations pose a serious threat to the national economy and harm local producers, warning that the continued smuggling of agricultural products jeopardizes national food security. Meanwhile, Fahd Al-Muadhin, Deputy Director of the Center for Customs Enforcement, stated that customs authorities, in coordination with the Anti-Smuggling Unit, are making continuous efforts to monitor and intercept smuggled goods. He called for enhanced cooperation with relevant authorities and stricter surveillance of roads and entry points. It is worth noting that the Government of Change and Development, represented by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources, has banned the import of foreign garlic after Yemen achieved self-sufficiency in local garlic production.
